Cathriona White, the girlfriend of Jim Carrey, has committed suicide.

The body of the 28-year-old was found after police responded to a call at a Sherman Oaks, Calif., residence Monday night. White was pronounced dead at 8:40 p.m., a representative of the coroner’s office confirmed to Page Six.

On Tuesday, Carrey, 53, released a statement expressing his shock and sadness over the news of White’s passing.

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona,” he said. “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”

This all sounds so weird, how can someone be in a relationship and not notice this? I’ve read in tabloids that he’s a crazy man, that’s why Jenny Mcarthy left him. I don’t know, his statement is so…fake?

In Moscow hours earlier, lawmakers approved Vladimir Putin’s request to use armed forces abroad, but Kremlin Chief of Staff Sergey Ivanov said the move referred only to the use of Russia’s air force in Syria. “The operation’s military goal is exclusively air support of the Syrian armed forces” and their battle against ISIS, Ivanov said, according to Russian news agency TASS.
