Is there any other Afro Guyanese who can substantiate this ?

I thought these folks were of ZULU origin .

[/quote] You don't seem like a bright fellow . Any one with a little knowledge of History and Geography will know that  the Zulus are from South Africa , mainly concentrated in the province of Natal .
Moreover you should have known that slaves mostly came from West Africa

Note that Ghana is only close in spelling to Guyana  :Smile

Home of the Ashanti !

and they ended up mostly in Jamaica , where they morphed into Rastafaris.

Jala claims he is from this Kingdom as well  ::LOL:: It is now called Benin

Dahomey was an African kingdom which lasted from about 1600 until 1894 :

when the last chief Behanzin was defeated by the French

and the country was annexed into the French colonial empire

Okay so maybe ramesh is Mandingo or Buju !

I wouldda guess the Congo : but there are not traits of him being a Cannibal  ::LOL::

Guyana was also a Dutch colony

The Dutch brought them, so probably some north western coastal part of Africa. The shortest route from Africa to Guyana
is from the Gold Coast to Guyana, which was controlled by the Dutch.
