According to founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, the social network will soon be adding a 'dislike' or 'thumbs down' button “For people who want to express empathyâ€.
He added that a lot of requests from different users have been constantly received for introduction of the button from 2009 onwards when the iconic ‘like’ button was introduced.
In repeated comments from Zuckerberg about the new addition it has been said that the button is in no way a mechanism to down vote any post, rather merely a tool to express empathy at times when clicking ‘Like’ on a post seems insensitive.
General public opinion however states that the new button can prove to be a can of worms.
