Journalist: Sorry for Tripping Migrants

The Hungarian camerawoman who was fired for tripping refugees apologized Thursday, explaining she thought she was in danger and was shocked by the reaction. Petra Laszlo, who was working for Hungary’s N1TV, sparked international furor Tuesday when images surfaced of her attempting to trip refugees as they fled from police across fields in southern Hungary. “I am just a woman, a mother who is now unemployed, who made a bad decision in a panicked situation,” Laszlo said in a letter to Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet. “I am truly sorry.” She added she didn’t deserve the “witch hunt” that followed on social media, which included death threats. “I am not a heartless, racist, children-kicking camerawoman.”

As it has been mentioned already she’s a heartless bitch! Now the bitch is complaining and saying that she’s victim of a political witch hunt. Come on, she deserves everything that’s happening to her. She is a racist and is part of the extreme-right political party and has no right to even speak. I’m glad they kicked her out!

She made a bad decision in a moment of panic? She was so afraid that she started tripping a father carrying his son? Her statement does not sound like an apology and I am glad she was fired.
