Flight attendant Charee Stanley has been suspended without pay by ExpressJet for refusing to serve alcohol on flights. Are her rights being violated or should she just quit her job?

#2
Does her job duties states that she has to serve alcohol?  if yes, then she should be fired or look for another job that does not conflict with her personal beliefs.

Did this not happen with some marriage registrar ?

refusing to issue homosexuals a licence to wed ?

yup and she was jailed for refusing to do her job.  Granted, hers was an elected position so she could not be fired.  Else, she would have been fired.

So all this separation of Church and State : is coming home to roost ??

Expect more refusals as personal religious conviction trumps man made legislation ?  :-\

Are we gonna see things like hunger strikes, willing Jail terms et cetera ???

AS folks hold steadfast to their Beliefs ~

yes yes and yes to all above.

Mind you these are the same people who will bad mouth Sharia law asking where is the freedom but want to impose their own personal beliefs on others!!

She was actually arrested for this? Why was she refusing to serve alcohol though?

If she thought the person was already drunk she is NOT in the wrong. If she just hated her job and didn't want to do it, I still don't see how she was arrested. She might have had a contract with the company and inside said contract were some very specific things.

Do you have a detailed link to the article, this sounds like her rights were being violated.

She should have quit . Flight attendant.. implicit and explicit expectation that you would serve alcohol.
Rules cannot be changed to satisfy religious beliefs

My take on bans!Practise your religion within the four walls of your house.Stop imposing your beliefs and wants on others. Live and let live
