National cricketer Odean Brown is facing the prospect of a two year ban after a whereabouts rule violation.
Under the undated World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules, athletes must file where they will be for at least one hour each day with their local Anti-Doping agency, in Jamaica's case - the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO), to facilitate being drug tested.
Additionally, if an athlete misses three drug test within a 12 month period, then that counts as a postive test.
Executive Director of JADCO Carey Brown confirmed with RJR on Saturday that Brown will next appear before the Independent Anti-Doping Disciplinary panel on September 4.
It's also understood that the disciplinary panel will be chaired by former Director of Public Prosecution, Kent Pantry. The other members of the panel are Proessor Archibald McDonald and former Jamaica and West Indies cricketer Maurice Foster.
According to RJR sources JADCO was represented at the preliminary hearing earlier this month by attorney Lackston Robinson while president of the West Indies Players Association Wavell Hinds was present along with Brown.
RJR has been unable to reach the right arm leg spinner for comment.
He has taken 255 First Class wickets at an average of 23 runs.
