CAISO: Gay Trinis can marry in the US

Colin Robinson, executive director of the Coalition Advocating for the Inclusion of Sexual Orientation (CAISO), yesterday congratulated the US for declaring gay marriages were now legal throughout the ­country.

In a 5-4 decision yesterday, the US Supreme Court stated same-sex couples have a right to marry anywhere in the United States following two decades of Supreme Court litigation over marriage, and gay rights generally.

US President Barack Obama said the decision was a “big step” toward equality.

“Today is a big step in our march toward equality. Gay and lesbian couples now have the right to marry, just like anyone else. #LoveWins,” Obama said in a Twitter post.

Robinson said: “It means that many people now can get married and migrate to the US, that’s the impact. Gay Trinidadians and Tobagonians now have another place to migrate. That is the significance of this legislation.”

He said: “Congratulations to the advocates in the United States who worked long and hard, the politicians who have spoken up.”

Robinson added Trinidad and Tobago was trailing behind in the Western Hemisphere in terms of legislation, and people still faced discrimination in the workplace and other areas because of their sexual preference.

“We don’t protect people from being fired, we don’t protect people from being thrown out of schools because of a sexual orientation,” he said

GMO kills it all, destroy  every soil ecosystem they encounter.  they do not require the established ecosystems, kills them and we do not know what replaces them..have no idea. but if GMO's have been on land for years then it is not the same land we always knew.  and nothing else can grow there again but GMO.

that is what is TERRA-FORMING.  GMO's are re-making planet earth.  GMO's are in the process of creating a massive human disaster on planet earth..for they are poison to the human system and when this is finally realized it will be too late to change crops.  traditional crops wont grow and humans will be left with nothing to eat but GMO..if those continue to grow at any usefully productive rate...as they are being overwhelmed by super weeds and insect pests.

the ecosystems above ground..the part of the general earth system we see..is producing life forms out of the original forms GMO and is culture met, that are so altered and so dangerous that weeds now cut the thickets rubber. manufacturers have to find new material to make wheels for tractors because the traditional rubber no longer works.

and the bugs are now super..the very bugs that corm for example  has been engineered to produce a poison to kill, now feed of the poison that  corn produces. but the corn now makes humanity sterile and  directly poisons and kills humanity and the animals that are fed corn.

all of that is terra-forming..remaking the earth right n front of our faces.

However, after scores of black men were tortured in Chicago by white police who tortured black men for more than two decades with impunity while Barack Obama represented many of these black men in the Illinois state senate, and while thousands of black people live today in prison, with many facing execution, for crimes they never committed or after being convicted in racially bigoted tribunals that President Obama never condemned, we make a horrible mistake by excusing Obama for failing at a job he volunteered to do: and that is, to enforce the constitutional precept of “equal protection of the law” for all people, including black and poor people, not just for the benefit of a rich and privileged white constituency. 

In my view, we make a horrible mistake by accepting from Obama his uniquely gifted form of tokenism while he gives the power of the U.S. presidency to tyrannical regimes in Saudi Arabia and Israel, to capitalist elites who benefitted from court-ordered injunctions against the “Occupiers”, and to state prisons where black men make up a disproportionate number of those on death row or otherwise incarcerated.
