New Zealand will probably be the happier of the two teams at the close of play - especially after being put in, getting reduced to 2/2 and then 144/5. It's a testament to both teams that we saw almost 300 runs and 8 wickets fall in just 65 overs.
It's worth noting that New Zealand's team for this Test includes three genuine wicket-keepers in Ronchi, Watling and McCullum and four if you count Latham. Does anyone know of any other Test matches where a team featured three genuine keepers? I can't think of any such instances off-hand.
Edit: After doing a little more digging around, I was able to find this Test match in 1986 where England fielded four wicket-keepers at various times in the match - though Taylor and Parks were substitute fielders, so that doesn't count.
Eventful start this morning but would we expect anything less from these two. Mark Henry absolutely creams Broad for a monumental six before edging behind for a very useful 27. 310/9.

Cook moved to 33* with a boundary through the off side shortly after lunch to go past Gooch’s long-standing record of 8,900 runs.
