I agree, Ketch. Moeen looked like a player that hadn't seen live action in some time. He struggled to find any rhythm and his line and length was pretty woeful for the most part. If England saw that in the nets and selected him over Rashid, then it really doesn't bode well for Rashid ever putting on an England shirt at the Test level.

I also thought Cook's reluctance to use Stokes spoke volumes as to where he and England see his bowling at the moment. Outside of one good spell on the first day, he really didn't cover himself in glory this Test.

Full credit to Jimmy for putting the team on his back and carrying England to victory. He was in the thick of everything in the morning session and put in a world-class performance on a pitch that offered little-to-no assistance.

Ballance has really made the number 3 spot his own. He and Root are the foundation of England's middle-order. Cook looked much better in this Test. Trott less so, he was fidgety and constantly moving before the ball was delivered, highlighted by his second innings dismissal.

Mooen Ali is a class player...already proven so...better than Rashid will ever be.

the pik is Ali...period...as long as he is fit.  if he takes a game or so to get back in sync so be it.

but if VIV or Lara was injured and comes back will deh be left out for the fit and in form batter who is a lesser player........ ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused::

never!
