Given the huge ground that the MCG is I wonder what his approach will be?

No point changing - he just have to target de wide open spaces and doan mis_hit - easier said than done

One more stat that is a little concerning if you are a New Zealand supporter: Tim Southee took 11 wickets in his first 3 matches (including his devastating 7 for 33 against England) at an average of 10.09, however, in his last 5 matches since then, he has taken just 4 wickets at an average of 74.00. His economy rate has also increased by almost two and a half runs per over. Furthermore, Southee averages 85.50 against the batsmen in the current Australia squad.

Due to the fielding restrictions inside the first 10 overs, I am not sure the bigger ground will effect McCullum all that much. I think he will look to play with the same aggressive intent as he has throughout this World Cup. As long as he clears the inner ring, the bigger ground shouldn't make a difference except for maybe turning a few sixes into fours.
