A lot them, just like you, don't like dark complexions.

West Indians can say whatever they want.

But they are black to the white man.

And they are treated as blacks by the white man.

In fact,

There were West Indian slaves on the isles during the same time there were black slaves every place else.

So your theory of not being black didn't make a difference for your West Indian ancestry.
