"English cricket has died, and the body will be cremated and the ashes taken to New Zealand," the obituary in London's The Sporting Times, if it was still published, would read tomorrow, at least if it were to bow to the calls of "off with their heads" that have reverberated around the Twitter empire.

I remember that a few years back, whenever I saw a British comedian on television, their cricket team was the butt of many jokes. Then everything turned around and for a while England were one of the top teams. Now they're in a slump, but no doubt they'll be back.

I heard an interesting comment on our local radio station today - the reason England are doing so badly is because there are no longer any South Africans in their team

Well from the group stage, I think India and Australia are gonna make the QF, but I hope and wish and pray that they both lose the QFs badly, especially india, I just love to see them get banged
