Injured Indian pace bowler Ishant Sharma failed the fitness test held on February 7, 2015, a mere week before the ICC World Cup 2015 is scheduled to begin in Australia and New Zealand. India face Pakistan in their opening encounter, but could do so without the services of Ishant. Mohit Sharma is rumoured to be the replacement, but official word is yet to come from the Indian camp.
