Johnny Manziel asks for privacy as he enters rehab

Johnny Manziel’s rocky start to his NFL career has taken a new twist with the news that the Cleveland Browns quarterback has entered rehab.

“Brad Beckworth, a friend and advisor to Manziel and his family, has confirmed that Johnny entered treatment on Wednesday,’’ a statement from Manziel’s publicist, Denise Michaels read. The statement was first released to Northeast Ohio Media Group. “Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and team-mate and he thought the off-season was the right time to take this step. On behalf of Johnny and his family, we’re asking for privacy until he rejoins the team in Cleveland.”

Manziel has come under criticism for his lifestyle, with many people believing his partying detracted from his playing abilities. The Browns fined Manziel after he did not show up for medical treatment towards the end of the season. It was later revealed that Manziel had thrown a party the night before. One team source told ESPN that Manziel had been “drunk off his ass”.

Sounds like he can't handle the pressure of his life.

His family can help by not laying so much pressure on him.

Stop expecting him to be the center of everything.

Hate to see another talent going to waste dump of NFL. Hope he can come out of rehab with different approach to his life. NFL is a crucifier if you slip. Though in different situation, Tim Tebow with brilliant college career was tossed away.

Jhonny who ? never heard on him but I sure that he is black .  The pickin on black players .  Ben Roethlisberger  accused of rape and nothing was ever done about it .

Johnny Manziel is a rich mans son.  he never wanted or suffered a day in his life.  its been a party from start to now.  dats why he cant break the habbit.  all he has ever know is a party.

the only perspective change he needs is to know and devlop is to know who he is and to live that life. whatever it is he has the means to so live
