Ray Rice grievance settles

On Thursday, a hearing was scheduled to commence between the Ravens and running back Ray Rice regarding whether the team owes him more than $3.5 million for cutting him hours after the notorious in-elevator video surfaced on September 8.

Per a league source with knowledge of the situation, Rice’s grievance against the Ravens has settled.  It happened, according to the source, several days ago.  Which renders entirely moot a lengthy article published last night by the Baltimore Sun regarding the looming grievance hearing.  (And which also renders moot the lengthy analysis of the grievance hearing posted here within the last hour based on the article in the Sun.)

The term “settled” implies money changed hands.  Chances are that the amount will not be disclosed publicly, which is common when money changes hands to put to rest a legal claim.

So that ends the relationship between Rice and the Ravens.  The real question is whether anyone else will give Rice a job.

I look at this way....

In employment law, an employer has the right to fire an employee for any reason besides racism and sexism, and so, Rice wasn't fired for either. I personally don't blame the Ravens owner for letting Rice go. If I were a team owner, I wouldn't want trash like that on my payroll either.

He recovered some monies, but he's still out of a job.

I don't care whether he does or not.

I can't stand men who beat women.

If I could, I would wish them all into the cornfield, and the ridiculous females who support being beaten along with them.

There's a difference between making a mistake and being a pompous mistake.

Come on Chair,

It's not like Rice wasn't warned. But what did he do? Made snide remarks he didn't really mean to the press about it and continued with his lifestyle.

[Image: 768x504xa-RAY-RICE-768x504.jpg.pagespeed...GtQQhs.jpg]

Ray Rice stepped to the microphone, took a deep breath and spoke for 17 minutes about what he called

"the biggest mistake of his life.

"My actions that night were totally inexcusable,"

"My daughter is 2 years old now. One day she's going to know the power of Google. Me having to explain that to her, what happened that night, that's something I have to live with the rest of my life."

"I don't want to keep re-living the incident. I'm trying to move forward," he said. "What happened that night was a huge mistake, and that's what I'll keep it at. I don't condone any of my behavior. I take full responsibility for my actions. My wife can do no wrong."

Come on, it was bull crap Chair. He didn't mean a syllable of it. And went right on battering his wife. Nobody can say that he wasn't warned. Apparently, his career didn't mean as much to him as his urge to live like a rabid beast. And I find it appalling how everybody is so supportive of him.  :o

Most of all, his silly wife who actually enjoys him beating her.  >Sad

"It's our life" She said. That stupid she devil b****!  >Sad

Now if he ever hauls off and harms their little girl, here's what his she devil wife is gonna do... She's gonna stand behind him and try to get him off jail time. She'll stab her baby in the back over him, the same as Adrian Peterson's she devil wife did to their little boy and Hedda Nussbuam did to her daughter Lisa.  >Sad

Look at what Adrian Peterson did to his four year old son....  >Sad

And his silly she devil wife is right there having his back and not her child's.  >Sad

It's woman like that the reason why the world is filled with pissed off men who feel like stomping and beating on somebody. After all, men are born from women aren't they? In ancient Greek allegories, women like that are called the Medusa. The Gorgon.

If it was my team, I would have booted that sack of garbage too.
