Insofar as I see a change in African women.

Africa does have 3 lady presidents now, and I heard that there's African women taking self defense training to protect themselves from rapists. This is certainly progress, and I do see progress that Africa is trying to make. But let's not get carried away Chairman. The majority of the African population is still very patriarchal and biased against their own melanin.
