Michael Clarke earns even more respect for his courage despite adversity

Quote:Stump mikes have revealed much more about Michael Clarke than the occasional F-bomb. On a daily basis, he is one of those compulsive grunters, who, when surprised or beaten by a delivery, lets out an OUFF! or an ARGH!, like a bad guy in Batman, as the ball passes through him. In Adelaide, however, the grunts gave way to moans of pain that you would need a stony heart not to feel. Whether scoring centuries in Cape Town with a broken shoulder, or here with a broken heart and a buggered back, Clarke has entered the phase of his career where, having earned half the cricket world's respect for his talent, he is earning the other half's for his suffering.

2 things I am pissed off with Pup about :

1.Juicing up with Steroids after being practically paralysed and retiring hurt !

2.Short of his personal Ton , he did NOT declare on 408 !

note well : Smiffy had already chalked his 100 and stood nexx to the 408 painted on ...

to Im mortalise the Cap # in the Stats books... >Sad

I dont understand your point regarding the 408. Why should Australia have retired then?

#7
Its Phil Hughes Test Cap #

there are 408 capped aussies for TEST cricket.

Based on all the symbolism , even listed on the match card as 13th man.

Hey , this would have been immortalised in the record keeping books forever !

This Paint will wash away : Steve smith acknowledges his Ton at the 408 field painting:

Dem Aussies have excellent 12th, 13th and 14th man fielders. So absolutely no worries.
