5th ODI: Sri Lanka v England at Pallekele

The fifth ODI starts in 30 minutes. Senanayake returns to the Sri Lankan team in place of the injured Rangana Herath. Cook returns from his one match ban to retain the captaincy for England replacing Alex Hales. Tredwell also returns to the side in place of the ineffective Stokes. 

England have won the toss and will bowl.

Early wicket for Finn. Perera out for a second ball duck. Sri Lanka 3/1 (1 ov).

Halfway through, Sri Lanka 111/3. Sangakkara and Mathews have put on 51 for the fourth wicket.

Jordan with a much needed wicket. Sri Lanka 144/4 (34 ov). Cook is still reluctant to bowl Ravi which is a bit of a head scratcher as this is the perfect wicket for him to bowl his cutters on.

Sangakkara misses out on a deserved century as he goes for 91. Sri Lanka 199/6 (44.2 ov).

Given the way this wicket is turning, England will have a tough time chasing down 240.

Raining !!!  ...reduced overs for ENG if play actually does get under way tonight

The rain never stopped and so they will start afresh in the morning with England requiring 240 to win from their full allotment of 50 overs.

Sri Lanka open with spin at both ends. Senanayake gets the prize wicket of Mooen Ali in his first over back since his suspension. England 13/1 (2 ov).

I'll be shocked if England make it to 200 on this wicket.

Cook out. Senanayake gets his second wicket. England 35/2 (8 ov).

Back to back 50's for Taylor.
