Israel Dissolves Parliament

The Israeli parliament voted unanimously to dissolve itself on Monday, cutting its term short by two years and kicking off a country-wide election. The Knesset voted 93-0 in favor of the disbanding, and new elections will be held in 99 days. Last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition government disintegrated, and his prospects for a fourth term are increasingly threatened. Despite this, early polls show he has a good chance of staying in power.
