Alastair Cook banned from 4th ODI

Alastair Cook has been banned from England's fourth ODI against Sri Lanka on Saturday due to England's slow-over rate in the win on Wednesday. Cook had been previously fined for England's slow over rate against India in the summer.

Morgan will captain the side in Cook's absence and Hales will open the batting with Moeen Ali.

So whom we will get to see for Cook ??  :-\

Gotcha on the odda thread  : yes indeed ,Bell need some time in the middle !

Comments from Peter Moores yesterday seemed to indicate that the team might be leaning towards Taylor getting the nod over Bell. Moores told reporters, "It was a tough decision leaving out Ian Bell and James Tredwell, experienced players, but we know what we've got with those players - we're trying to find out what else we've got."

James Taylor sounds like a Singer  :-[

Taylor's profile page on ESPNCricinfo makes for some interesting reading, especially the opening paragraph where Shiv and his small stature is referenced.

Interestingly, two of the shortest Test cricketers represented West Indies (Alvin Kallicharran and David Williams).

Perhaps of no interest to anyone but me, but it appears that West Indies have 4 of the tallest players to play Test cricket also in Garner, Ambrose, Benn and Holder.

Some of us are capable of being sincere, objective and unbiased.

Some of us focus on cricket and not confrontation.

Some of us see the player and not their nationality!

Some of us can talk about all players fairly and without bias!

I have written an article on Kallicharan for this forum as he was an absolute colossus and a great Cricketer!
