Clarke pays tribute to his 'brother' Hughes

BCCI have been sympathetic towards this tragic twist leading up to this series .... BUT IND are going to get a cut arse for sure given the emotions running through the AUS team at the moment !!!

[/quote]  I  agree crocodile tears and hypocrites  .  Aussies are a win at all costs people and they will do anything to win  even seriously maiming the opposition. Brett Lee against that English CNN  talk show host was a perfect example.

I'm watching ... huge funeral.  Don't know if I'll continue watching though as it's just too sad !!

His poor mother and father, brother and sister ... it's just too sad !!

Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition, Sports Minister there, also all the Aussie cricketers past and present, some of the Indian players, Ravi Shastri, Sir Richard Hadlee, Brian Lara etc.

For those of you who thought quite inappropriately that Phillip Hughes was being portrayed as something of a saint in his death ... you couldn't be further from the truth...

His funeral service was a family and small country town event, despite the 'who's who in cricket and dignitaries' being present in enormous numbers.  Watching on I thought it could've been the same of a Windies player from a small country village somewhere in the Caribbean.

His mother's reaction to having lost a son was heartbreaking ... her loud cry and touching his coffin as to never let go was overwhelming, his father's expression and grief as a pall bearer was gut wrenching.

One of his best friend's reading (who knew nothing of cricket and who met Hughesy at a Farmer's Cattle Fair) as to what that young country boy's future dream was awe inspiring, as he had made a 10 year plan as to his future after cricket ... which was to have a beautiful country property and a whole lot of his beloved Angus Cattle.

In fact, I honestly never knew there was so much to this young fellow outside of cricket ... so much achieved and so many plans for the future made at such a young age.  He certainly achieved a lot in his 25 years and had aspiring plans for the future ......

Not once did he let his head drop when he faced non selection by the selectors... Just used any set back as a come back, no prima donna attitude, just hard work .... what an inspirational young man who had a real goal and perspective in life without the seemingly fake and bling of some of our present day WI cricketers.  Michael Clarke who couldn't keep it quite together in the emotional circumstances after a hard week, said it all .....

An aspiring young man and cricketer whose life was taken too soon ......and so sad !!  RIP !!! .... and that's all I have to say !![/i]
