Religion is an incredibly sensitive issue in Egypt, with many Christians and Muslims refusing

to accept people leaving their congregation.

George Matta, a Christian pastor, says people are safer choosing someone from their own religion

"When a Christian woman goes to a notary to register a marriage with a Muslim man,

the officials tell her that she must have a letter of approval from the Church,"

"The Egyptian Church has consistently refused to approve marriages between different

Christian sects
, let alone different religions."  :-[

Under Egyptian law, the man would have to convert Islam :

even though a Christian woman can marry a Muslim man without having to convert.

BUT she has to have Church approval which is NOT granted .

darn !  ::LOL::

Abeer's family disowned her for marrying a Muslim and converting to Islam.

When she ran into her father after the wedding, she remembers that he ignored her and said:

"My Abeer is dead"........ :'(

Why are those Islamic countries turning towards fundamentalism more and more? It appears there is a CONTEST among them to determine who can become more fundamental than their neighbor in the quickest amount of time.

It has been my experience that [glow=red,2,300]whenever men sit idle[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]they grow more violent.[/glow] The rates of uneducated and unemployment rates of young men in Islamic countries is staggering. They are more unemployed than the inner cities of Cleveland and Detroit.

Those are reason why there is a growing fundamentalism is those countries. What else is there for them to occupy their time? If they were fully employed they could find wives. Then have children. Eventually, a few of them would need a second job. Then their time would be so filled with wife, home, work, and the duties of their chosen Mosque that they would never have time to dream up all of that type of craziness!

Islam and Christianity is but a flip of the same coin.

Why not convert to consciousness?

Which would be a release from both prisons.
