OBSERVATION:

* Shiv opened and scored 56 in the 1996 world cup quarter final and 80 in the semi final.

* But the West Indies batting lineup is sooooooo strong today that even though Shiv is the #3 ranked test batsman in the world he cannot make the WI team for the 2015 world cup.

Wow great videos and information. I am too young to remember that match because I was a baby when the 1996 world cup took place. This is the first I am seeing those stats and it looks like a terrible collapse that has since plagued West Indies cricket. That is just unbelievable for a West Indies team in that era.

I remembered this WC!  The googs correctly called the winner! 

My friends thought I was nuts!  ::LOL::

I remember ts game and the WC well. England were disappointing and only just made it to the knockout stages. It's interesting to note that WI lost to Kenya and forfeited against SL yet still should have made it to the finals.
