Well his record is proof that Chanderpaul values his wicket and so he may go very slow at times. Chanderpaul has always been a patient batsman and the people criticizing him about batting too slowly needs to just shut up.

* Had Shiv played for a Top 5 team, he would have been surrounded by more competent and productive batsmen and instead of only scoring 11,684 runs at a 53.10 average after 158 tests he would have scored 13,000 test runs by now at a 55 average.
