Lloyd wants respect for WI

Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd says he’s hoping to see that the regional team back at the top and gaining the respect of the world by the time his final innings comes to an end.

Does he mean the WI team itself when he mentions "regional teams"..? or is it some other team..? Just confused over it.I though believe it is the former,but i dont see it happening anytime sooner..unless WI thump India in that series.
