ROACH ASPIRES TO BE #1 AND PRAISES AMBROSE

Awesome, he may someday be number one too, and Roach too has made it in the top ten. Look at that career best by Shiv '901 v New Zealand, 19/12/2008'. Just 5 or 6 people have put up a score like that.

It's a rather sad state of affairs that three of England's top ranked batsman (Pietersen, Trott and Prior) are no longer in the Test team. It's also worth noting that there are 4 Bangladeshi batsman in the top 40, the same number as Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India, New Zealand and South Africa and 1 more than West Indies.
