Jonathan Trott believes he is ready to resume his international career

Warwickshire batsman Jonathan Trott believes he is ready to resume his international career, 10 months since his last appearance for England.
The 33-year-old has addressed the stress-related condition which forced him out of last winter's Ashes tour.
"The ECB and I have had our final get-together. I've been signed off by the ECB," Trott told BBC WM.
"Whatever comes along with regards to selection, maybe. I'm not putting too much pressure on myself."

No one cares, son.
He wasn't all that great in the first place. And promising prospects are huge in number. So I don't even know why England would need him back.

His stats are very deceptive and inflated.

It's good to see Trott back playing again and finding some form, though as Mail rightly states, it is unlikely he would get in the team right now, anyway. In 13 County Championship innings, Trott scored 524 runs at an average of 40.30 with 2 centuries, 1 fifty and a high score of 164.

Trott is toast!  he is already 33..in April..well on his way to 34. England wont pik him again for that reason alone. but there is more like the already mentioned quality of the runs he has scored.

Even if he's willing to open, doubt if he'd get in. But yeah, reckon his career for England is pretty much done, more or less. Unless everyone sucks and they decide to do the merry go round.

My view is he should never have played for us but not sure what Dillinger 10 thinks.


I do  however wish him a full recovery and the benefit of our county system, where I am sue he would make a very good living.

He is already 33 and Gary Ballance has already established himself in the number three position in England's Test side.It is highly unlikely he is going to get in the team.
Even for the opening slot,he might just not make it.
