Joan Rivers’ Doctor Snapped Selfie During Throat Procedure

Joan Rivers‘ personal ear, nose, and throat doctor allegedly snapped a selfie with the comedienne while she was under general anesthesia for her throat procedure.

The New York state medical board is going after him with all of  their might. Why wasn't Joan Rivers given a MILD muscle relaxant during her Endoscopy? Her throat reportedly closed that made it next to impossible for her to breathe. That may have caused her hear attack.
Now, it has been reported that her doctor chose to take a snapshot of himself instead of focusing solely on his patient, Joan Rivers. That was an unprofessional action at best. It was an action of malpractice at worse!

I have not yet gone through a Colonoscopy or Endoscopy. I will soon because people over the age of 50 are strongly encouraged to go through that procedure by their doctor. People I've talked to repeatedly stressed that they experienced a twilight type sleep because of the sedative and muscle relaxant.

Now with the media reporting about Joan Rivers' death resulting from a heart attack during the Endoscopy procedure, I'm afraid many patients will delay getting the procedure because of fear of ending up like Joan Rivers. That would be a shame for healthcare.

looks like Joan died in Comedy...same way she lived her life. 

Aren't there cameras in operating rooms ? If what Allison says is true about the muscle relaxant then that doctor should be suspended and sued. Endoscopy is when they put a tube with a camera down your throat right Allison ? How can they not give anything before the procedure for that ? Do they give anesthesia ?

Oh Joan. I read about this story today on CNN's website. I guess the doctor was documenting the procedure or trying to be funny with Joan. Well, he is going to have anything but the last laugh because those malpractice lawsuits are coming at him faster than a speeding bullet. What happened in that clinic should have never occurred.

Actually, here is what happened...

During one of her earlier procedures on the operating table, she had a near death experience. Seeing God she asked, “Is my time up?” God said, “No, you have another 23 years, 2 months and 8 days to live.”

Upon recovery, Joan decided to have a face-lift, liposuction, breast implants, and a tummy tuck. She even had someone come in and change her hair colour, and brighten her teeth!

While on the followup  at the doctor's office, she stopped breathing . Arriving in front of God, she demanded, “I thought you said I had another 23 years?” Why didn’t you give some air?”

God replied: “I didn’t recognize you!”
