Exposing the Youth is the greatest move ever :

kudos to theit cricket board for this Vision !

IF Pybus et al will deny their development against teams like Bangladesh.

Then the second best option is have 'em bowl to Barnwell  ;D

Ketchim,

What are you really suggesting?

Are you suggesting players in the current Test squad should be dropped in favour of the some players in the Guyanese U19 team?

Who are the stand outs and who would you have dropped to have him/ them slotted in?

For batsmen, are you suggesting say Shiv makes way for one of your U19 as the other players are also quite young and have done well with their limited opportunities, like Blackwood, and in the case of Brathwaite he has been better in his last spell. Perhaps Edwards or Bravo should be left out?

In bowling who are you suggesting gets dropped? Holder and Gabriel are youngsters making their way and Taylor on a comeback so are you suggesting perhaps one of or a couple or Roach, Shillingford and Benn?

I really do want to understand your point.

What you are doing internally is in line with a structured pathway that will help these players develop. Yes they have won the U19 championships against U19 competition and I would see that development continue up through first class, A Team etc unless you have a Lara, Shiv, Marshall etc.

You had Tage making a very early debut and he looked out of place at FC level, in my view, although he dominated at youth level. You do not want to elevate players with budding talent too early.

First , you need to stop this Fixation on Guyana.

Then you need to understand the need for YOUTH exposure versus a visiting Minnow.

You background understanding of the recently concluded U 19 contest is a must !

and then you can appreciate why the Call to TEST the YOUTHS for TALENT :

to replace the current LOSERS on the Squad as well as the Retiree...

but , alas ~

Ketchim,

I have no fixation with Guyana in the least but I made reference as you were calling for at least one of the U19 Champions to play against Guyana.

You are asked questions and you overlook them.

Who would you select from the youth level to the test squad?

You are jumping to conclusions !

All I wanted was the exposure of the U19 talent against the visiting minnow.

IF you look at the St.Kitts match you would see a Shane jeffers TON.

I would have liked to see more youth in the ODIs.

The fact that Guyana WON the regional U19 ODI :

Like Jeffers , i would have like to see HOW hetmeyer and chanderpaul would have fared !

BUT , we wanted to pummel a minnow, evidence of NO vision for the Future  >Sad

#9
and the WI test 11 middle is not the greatest after shiv falls

#10
Hetemeyer has one failed FC cap and similarly Tage needs time to develop.

Why would you want to select a 33 year old guy to the test squad?

How does that fit with your youth policy?
