Man beheads himself in the Bronx

A 51-year-old man managed to behead himself in a spectacularly gruesome suicide in the Bronx Monday morning.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, tied a chain from his head to a pole, then hit the gas on his 2005 Honda CRV in Hunts Point, cops said.

He gunned it about 9:35 a.m., police said, and was decapitated, dying at the scene on Longfellow Ave. near Randall Ave.

I believe that he was trying to circumcise himself and had heads confused

Wow. Talk about self determination to go out with a big bang. That's a new one if I ever heard it. I have never known anyone to behead themselves but there's a first for everything. Jeez, that is such a gruesome scene and a painful way to die. My only question is why?

One would think there'd be easier ways to kill yourself, drowning, hanging, pill overdose, slit wrists, jumping from a building, so many options, who decapitates themselves? thats just weird, and random
