Nasty blow. The injury reminded me of Gatting taking one off the face from Malcolm Marshall in '86.

Broady picked up the man-of-the-match award to go with his suspected broken nose. Hopefully he will be fit enough for The Oval.

Broad has been cleared fit to play at the Oval and named in an unchanged 13-man squad.

even though i do not like Stuart Broad at all, I did not like the sight of him hurt with blood pouring down his face. I think they have to have a look at the helmets..How did the ball manage to get through the grill??!! Surely something was not right there.

I agree ..... and not the first time this has happened and caused injury.

Design of grille on helmets needs to be addressed
