your impression is not correct. while many of our foreparents were from the low-caste, many might have been 'ship' brahamin, however a few of them were from the higher castes.
The fact is Guyana has long gone moved away from grouping people into caste, however, the mentality thatt Doodnauth displayed - and given his status in Guyana 'high society' shed some new light on a 'hidden' stigma still attached to his words.

sometimes silence can be more deafening than - the loudmouths, ignorant, educated lawyers - like the Doodnauths. He should have kept his mouth shut and let people think of him as a fool instead of opening it and remove all doubts.
