Ravindra 'Sir' Jadeja is a fantastic cricketer. That is what we have been forced to believe until he abused his senior colleague Gautam Gambhir when the latter wasn't selected for the Champions Trophy. The manner and the language which he used against Gambhir proves he never lets his better sense take over his otherwise temperamental self. He got away with it and now he is playing test cricket for India the way the game shouldn't be played. After the Lord's test he proudly took credit for the breezy runs scored in the 2nd innings. He said he can't block or leave balls and that cavalier hitting is his natural play. He forgot that the game is a great leveler. And then came the 3rd Test. He bowled as many overs as a frontline spinner and England piled on the runs happily. His skipper preferred him over Ashwin hoping the lad would pick up some wickets and score some runs too. His biggest test came in the 2nd innings and his cavalier approach was decimated with disdain by a part time spinner Moeen Ali. And his skipper too, as always does overseas, prefer the comfort of the dressing room more than fighting it out on the 22 yards. Give him a belter of a track in Chennai or anywhere in India against a weak attack and he will score his next double hundred. Pundits would jump in joy saying 'Bravo!'. What a player! Shameless to the hilt.
Jadeja is the most arrogant player in Team India. He have history of conflict with several players because he is untouchable because of Dhoni's blessing.
He is called Sir by Dhoni is his ignorance because Sir title is given by Queen of England to very few really talented player. Sir V. Richards, Ian Botham, R. Hadelley, G. Sobrers, and some more like these. Jadeja is not even capable (worth) of tying their shoes.
Jadeja isn't the best,but yes he is fine for an all rounder's slot.The main worry for India is at the top..Dhawan isn't firing and it has been a while,so either Rohit should move up and Ashwin should come in..or Gambhir instead of Dhawan can be a great choice. The fielding needs to be higher,up a notch.A revamp would do more good.
Wow. A lot of hate against Ravindra jadeja. i wonder if it is because of the huge poayout he got n the IPL. Saw the same thing happen to Kevin Peiterson as well. Jadeja was the standout spinner in New Zealand and provided a few useful contributions with the bat as well. Don't count him out after one or two disappointing performances.

Sometimes expectations from an all rounder are high,they need to justify their place in both batting and bowling.A slip up in either and people will call for their heads.
it is not that everyone loathes and hates him,his form has been dwindling all through and he has been below par for sometime now.
Were I James Anderson I would rub this decision their faces non-stop with sly digs and snide comments all the time for the rest of the series.
I have no doubt it was a cycnical ploy by the Indians to play mind games with England and, if all went well, get him a ban to further disrupt the team.
