Hopefully England can get something out of Jordan or Stokes as neither has impressed so far this summer. Old Trafford is going to be a big test. I think whichever team wins the fourth test, wins the series. Hopefully Broad's knee holds up. Losing both Anderson and Broad would put England at a major disadvantage at Old Trafford.

Hopefully England can get something out of Jordan or Stokes as neither has impressed so far this summer.I was a bit aghast when CJ was selected as i never rated him but he has impressed me and was disappointed when he was dropped, although he was 'filling in' until Ben Stokes regained fitness. For me Stokes seems vacant and not in attendance and I have seen adequate fight and pace from CJ for me to give him the nod over Stokes. Woakes presents an interesting conundrum for me. He has been touted for a long time now but hje does not impress me in the least. Not sure if we are aiming for 8-11 being allrounders as I favour specialists. CJ is a bowling allrounder and you will get a  bit of runs from him and with Jos and Broad, the tail will wag.

Agreed on Broad and Jimmy. Of the last 10 years, 8 test matches, we have not lost at this venue, having won 6 and drawn 2 both against the Aussies in 2005 and 2013.

However India has a good record at Old Trafford having lost only 3 and drawn 5 times in the previous 8 tests, but have never won. They last played their in 1990 with a draw.

India will therefore have pretty good memories at this venue and should we win, it would be the first time in 40 years we would have beaten India in Manchester.

No foregone conclusion.

You really can't do much when you have a bowler who steams in and bowls with intent.Jadeja has technicla flaws and if you did notice,he yorked himself out...it was angling outside off and he came forward and got an inside edge...he should have had some sense playing those and when the team is in a deep hole..you shouldn't push it further..!!

Prediction, part 1, achieved but did not expect it to be within 3 days.

The oval is not as bouncy as it sued to be so I expect a draw but teh Indians would be fired up.

For me the best Indian Bowling squad is Yadav, Bhuvi, Ishani, Shami, Aaron. Spinners always Ohja and Ashwin.

Unless Yadav is injured, again, WHY IS HE NOT ON TOUR? they have to stick with, nurture and give him a good run. This they are not doing. Him partnering Shami or Aaron with Bhuvi and Inshant would be a better than good combination. Also Bhuvi and Shami can bat so that makes an interesting combination.

I would develop that Jadega guy a bit more in ODIs as he seems able but lacks application. He is , as yet, to be a competent and penetrating Test bowler and needs to hone hsi skills.

I still do not thing we are back to our best although it was good enough today.

Great to see Jossy get another half ton and he has seen two victories in two.
