It is sad that my wish for you and my counsel to you amounts to nothing. In the words of the great Ramdin "Make Sense nah man"!!!!

Your memory is quite lethargic and unrespeonsive and as much as it paints me i bring your attention to the Saffers tour of England 2012 when we were beaten 2-0, in athree match series. Amla's scores whilst fasting in hot conditions averaged 120.5 with 2 tons including 311*.

I am happy to explain this to you as you do not know and although it is relatively new to me, Muslims' resolve whilst fasting is a marvel.

Perhaps, like me, you will revert once you know the truth.

Ramesh,

I look forward to the day when a Black man leads the Proteas onto the Park but it has to be on merit to ensure the standard of cricket is maintained and most importantly, so as to not make a joke of it all, he is a suitably good role model to those aspiring to play for and lead South Africa.

Like you I would have preferred the Captaincy to have gone to a Black to demonstrate redressing the balance but Amla is deserving on merit and that too would have been a dramatic change as I do not think they have every had a substantive person of colour as a Captain.

In change Ramesh, time is required and when you have a black Captain you do not wish to see he makes a fool of himself, at least not the first one.

In fact I think you should have appreciated and celebrated a move in the right direction.
