Cook is a tactically poor captain.

He averages 45 as Captain so he should stay in team. He should have fought to keep Carberry as his opening partner.

Let him have the Indian series and review it after that. However I supect he is there for the long run.

Cook was complicit in the  demise of Peterson and the previous coach with his back stabbings
He is a yes man and puppet of the ECB
Peterson is England best batsman and a free spirited individual and was perceived as a threat to the suits in the  hierarchy  and as such he had to go and Cook was the point man in executing their agenda
