Apparently, the potential 2016 presidential contenders are racing to claim they are the poorest of the bunch. Speaking at a White House summit on financial difficulties facing working families, Vice President Joe Biden said he is the man in the “mildly expensive suit,†adding “I have no savings accounts†and “I don’t own a single stock or bond.†His comments come a day after Hillary Clinton said she is not like the “truly well off†and seem like a clear jab at her fairly ridiculous claim. Biden does actually have a savings account, though it has less than $15,000 in it, and he was the poorest senator when he joined the Obama ticket in 2008.
I am surprised that he has $15,000.00 in a savings account. ::confused:: I thought Biden was a millionaire. I thought that he had a huge mansion because I BELIEVE MOST POLITICIANS GET PAID UNDER THE TABLE!
I was wrong about Biden. He is an honest politician, after all!
I chuckled at this post. Oh Vice President Biden ... I don't believe you. The same goes for Hillary Clinton. I'm not buying into the "Who can connect with middle class America the most," ploy. It's all fun and games for them to discuss amongst their political strategists. Sorry to disappoint Biden and Clinton, but out here in the real world we don't have time for you to discuss you monetary gain or lack thereof. If they want to connect to Americans, then give concrete plans of what they could do to resolve or improve certain issues in our country. For Biden, this will be tricky as he is the current Vice President and it will look like he's dissing President Obama. Also, I don't see Biden having the energy to endure more time in Washington. What would be the point? Washington is almost broken due to crybabies in Congress who refuse to do their jobs until President Obama is gone.
