Brasília (AFP) - Christian Atsu said there was no question of any fallout out from the financial dispute on Thursday's game which Ghana must win to maintain any chance of qualifying for the second round.


The team ended their protests after President John Dramani Mahama personally assured them that he would send a chartered plane with the promised amount, more than $3 million, Atsu said.

"We love our country and we will play," said Atsu, who with team-mates boycotted Monday's training session.

Uruguay star Luis Suarez has been banned the World Cup and professional soccer by FIFA for four months, will have to miss nine international matches, and will pay a fine of 100,000 Swiss Francs. Suarez bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini in a World Cup match Tuesday. As a result of the punishment, Suarez will not be able to play against Colombia on Saturday. He will be able to appeal the ban. Suarez was given a 10-match ban last year for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic and in 2010 was banned for seven games for biting an opponent's shoulder during a match.

I predict that the Americans will attack the German defenses where it's unexpected, punch through, and race toward the German heartland.

Team USA is good, but I am not going to bet against Germany. Not yet anyway. The advantage of the USA team is the fact they are good at combating against another team's defense. I don't know if this will actually carry USA to the final round, but we'll see. I'm American so here in the states, World Cup fever is outrageous! Hahahaha. Oh well, may the best team win.
