Roach hamstring reInjures
[/quote]
sidelined last season with a shoulder injury:

"It was excruciating pain, but I believe I am back now, and close to my best," Roach said.

How de hell Roach get a Game after NOT playing all this Time ??

Jus gotta shake my head !

Carlos Brathwaite should be in there instead.

Roach needs a full season in regionals ....

Why play all a full season in dung heap.

Roach is WI #1 fast bowler and IF he is fit he has nothing to prove.

West Indies have undergone a shake-up since they last appeared in whites. Darren Sammy has retired from Tests, Denesh Ramdin is captain now and their bowling looks vastly different. Kemar Roach has returned to full fitness. The selectors have also recalled Jerome Taylor, who will hope to end a four-year wait since his last Test cap, and made a last-minute decision to recruit Jason Holder.

Can't wait. I'm not sure how much of it I'll be watching but I'll try to nonetheless.
Really like both teams so have no biases either wayย  Tongue

More interested in seeing how Roach performs and whether Williamson would be able to sustain his form tbh. Also been a while since I've seen Taylor as well, so there's that too.

Benn "world class" - in which "world" would that be? Shilly, despite being a chucker and all, I can still grant somewhat - it's not downright ridiculous. But Benn?

Narine is somewhat closer to the World-class title, and he's not in the team. End of.

#48
I reckon it will be Holder making the cut ahead of Benn and Windies will be looking at a 3 pronged pace attack. It is going to be interesting because spinners have always shined here after Day 3 and the choice that Ramdin makes is going to decide the test's turnout.
In 3 matches at sabina park Taylor has taken 19 wickets, including a career-best 5 for 11..Quite impressive. !!

Ramdin must be Kidding..He is calling them world class, that is somewhat pertinent to what was said above..Sarcasm..heights of it. Shillingford and Benn ..?? I don't want to let out words..lets see how they perform..They are given a chance, they must use it wisely to justify that title.

The New Zealand cricket captain Brendon McCullum says he'll bat first if he wins tomorrow morning's toss for the first Test against the West Indies in Jamaica.

McCullum says the Kingston wicket looks bare, hard and slow and he's still not sure whether to play two spin bowlers.

He says batting first is a positve move, but New Zealand has to make sure it delivers a big first innings score in excess of 450 runs, which he says the team has achieved recently on a a number occasions.

The all rounder Corey Anderson has been ruled out of the first Test with a neck strain.
