I am not denying a role for the net.  it plays a role..a very good one.  but I have to note its full nature ..social media.  I have to see its real potential and limitations to be able to make the best use of it..or understand it fully

the most progressive movement in recent times was the occupy movement.  Obama knew it was the real deal so he took pains to smash it to bits.  the elites could not allow that to grow.

but look at the central movement in operation:  the occupation of public spaces for giant teach-ins.  they movement was the development of awareness among ordinary massive.

the net was insufficient..no access into the nooks and crannies and general spaces.  and even if it were not every one can afford it

I propose that this would never have happened Today :

Foreign journalists were ushered away from the square and passers-by were searched and had their papers checked.

you are pointing to a lot of activity generated by internet activity s fundamental.  it id not!  it is a lot of middle class noise that is not useless but not as positive as you think.


but what is required to change social reality in such a way as to sustain society as capitalism fails and descends into Brave Ne World..domination by the bankers and related elites..from war and more war..3rd world war..from the geddons...pharma, food-agriculture, pollution etc., is the ordinary folk organised and in the streets belling the established way..putting their own interest into place as the driving social factor


I have been telling you that that is the solution of the problems society faces at the moment..in this age.  that and only that


the faster that is realised the easier it would be for the middle to make common cause with the bottom.  you put the bottom last when it should be first
