Sammy will captain Sunrisers for the rest of the season. This is to "allow" Dhawan to concentrate of performing as batsman.

Sammy is being used as the Loser :

Dhawan gave up de Chalice cause Hyderabad will NOT advance  Tongue

18.1
Shakib  to Sammy, OUT, a full toss outside off, Sammy clears front leg and slogs,

but he hasn't got enough on it, long off runs to his right and takes it !!

Sammy c Pandey b Shakib 7  SR: 43.75

SRH finish on 142/8 in their allotted 20 overs.Sammy was pathetic in batting and wasted too many balls. He was anointed captain and i was laughing loud at this.He recently was stripped of his captaincy and he has got to be captain here.ROFL.!!

He was sucker punched by his IPL team :

The Loser tag will NOT be Dhawan BUT will be pinned on the Donkey  :-[

Darren Sammy:

"The dot balls at the end (of our innings) cost us. The bowlers fought back to make a game

out of it. We know that catches win matches, we dropped two crucial ones today.

Different conditions from last year (in Hyderabad) but we have had some good games.

We have not capitalised on key moments.

It is not over, we have to win all three and hope some results go in our favour."

Lie ! this is to NOT have the " loser" Captain tag attached to him  >Sad

Sunrisers NOT advancing ....

Sammy wouldda normally turn them down :

having been Dropped for that all rounder Moses ....the last 4 Games...

BUT he is in a Vulnerable state :

Both Him and his Master Hilaire are in uncomfortable places.

They have been Exposed !  >Sad

"We are hoping for a lot from Shikhar the batsman," VVS Laxman, mentor of the SRH side, said.

Well let's see. I think captaincy in T20s is a moot point - I mean of course it is relevant, but not THAT much. Performance of batsmen and accuracy of bowlers is 95% of it, I'd say.

Since Sammy is in dire form offlate, I don't know if this is a good move by SRH. They coulda just picked someone else as captain. Even Moey could've done that.
