That is perhaps why management dropped him because they felt he does not play the situation rather for himself.

Cali,

So what about the new Worrell taking IPL money in favour of playing for Windwards?

Has he special dispensations?ย

Test Captain for life?

Sammy will play in the IPL and continue to Captain the test team!

How preposterous is that?

Exactly and these Luminaries have vaulted into # 1 position in 50 over format ODIs.

Maybe they read your thread !

Well in fairness test performance doesn't necessarily warrant an ODI selection by default. However the fragility of the batting order clearly needed someone like Shiv in there for the ODIs. So I don't agree with the reasoning, but yeah.

Shiv's achievement as a Test Batsman was only to highlight his ability ..........

See Goog Lee's post about Shiv as an ODI batsman ....

Shiv/Gayle has been the most successful ODI opening bats for WI until Shiv was dropped!!! [/size]

They have experimented with Charles, cowlasher Thomas, and every other tom, dick and harry but no one has matched the quality and performance of the Shiv/Gayle combo!!

and thats the fact!!!
