Supreme Court appointed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) interim president N Shivlal Yadav has said he would ensure Indian cricket board's name is not further sullied. Yadav also added that he is not anyone's man and would take decisionsย independently.
Speaking exclusively to Headlines Today on Thursday few hours before he officially took charge of all BCCI matters, Yadav said, "It's an important responsibility as I will be in charge only for five months."
"The situation is not good," he said, adding, "But I have to accept the challenge and ensure Indian cricket doesn't take further beating."
When asked if Indian cricket's image has been tarnished by recent controversies, Yadav agreed saying, "We all have to put our minds into restoring the faith of the public."
