Connecticut becomes first state to pass $10.10 minimum wage

March 28 - Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy signs into law a measure to phase in the highest minimum wage of any U.S. state, in line with a push by Democrats nationwide to raise the entry-level wage.

10 dollars and 10 cents? That's more than how much I make in a day here in India! I feel jealous of the folks in the US. They have a lot of things going their way, and yet they waste a lot of things. If I was able to make 10 dollars an hour, I would definitely make sure that I reached out to society and helped at least a few people in need. 9 dollars a day is a pretty high entry-level wage in India!
