West cancels Russia's G8 summit over Ukraine crisis
It was announced that the G8 summit in Sochi in June would be replaced by a G7 meeting in Brussels.
Out of the 18,800 Ukrainian soldiers stationed in Crimea, more than 13,300 defected to Russia. That is more than 2/3rd. These soldiers came from all around Ukraine, not just the pro-Russian South and East. The US / NATO can try hard to keep Putin away from Ukraine. But they are going to have very little chance of victory.
