Captain Stuart Broad will likely be cleared to play in England's opening World Twenty20 fixture against New Zealand in Chittagong on Saturday.

Broad is nursing a knee injury that prevented participation in the warm-up fixture against the West Indies and allowed just two overs against India on Wednesday.

"I'm hopeful. I'm going to bowl two spells in training but the knee has come up well from that game. It's given me a lot of confidence. It has been a long winter personally but those 10 days have freshened me up," said Broad.
