Tribute to phantom

Phantom was a good dog , am male pitbull that quietly passed away yesterday .
He died of old age .
Phantom was owned by my good friend and he loved this dog more than life , I  too became attached to it
I remember when his son brought it home ... " Take that fucking dog where you got it from . I don't want  no  fucking dog in my home  here ''..  That was then but I understood later the effects of dogs on people .
My siblings wanted dogs too when they were kids and my reaction were the same my friend.
Phantom was a well behaved dog and when I visit he always greet me with affection and now he is no more .. died of old age, .. 13 years old .
There was a time when he escaped and there was panic all around, we searched high and low far and wide , parks and Chinese restaurants but he was nowhere to be found and then the next day as I was leaving for work , there he  was sitting quietly sitting on my driveway .
I saw relief and joy when I phoned my buddy .
Phantom went and lie down in the garage never to reawaken .  .
I surely miss him  but I know that he is in dog heaven
