Stuart Broad calm despite T20 defeat

Stuart Broad insisted there is “nothing to panic about” as England fell to a comprehensive 27-run defeat in the opening Twenty20 international against the West Indies.

After winning the toss in Bridgetown, Marlon Samuels (69 not out) and Chris Gayle (43) helped the hosts to a competitive total of 170.

“We didn’t get going today but that can happen chasing a decent score and things didn’t go our way.
“I’ve got a bit of patella tendinitis so I’m not sure I’ll play the next two games to get right for the World Twenty20.”
