West Indies batting star Chris Gayle has hit out at the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for sacking Kevin Pietersen from the England team and called them 'disrespectful'. Gayle also said that the manner in which his close friend Pietersen had to walk away from the game was disappointing.

"I'm disappointed in the manner he bowed out of international cricket. It was disrespectful. For such a big player to go out like that, who has made an impact around the world, it was really sad to see. You want to give a top player the chance to retire and walk away from the game regardless of what is happening. It is disrespectful," Gayle told the Daily Mirror.

"I will miss him personally, he's an easy wicket for me so I'll definitely miss him. I'm sure the fans are going to miss him too but I'll try and put on a display to entertain the fans and see what happens," the 34-year-old said.

"I do feel a responsibility to try to entertain. I want to be entertaining and I want to give them their money's worth. That is what the game is all about," he added.

West Indies batsman Chris Gayle said his friend Kevin Pietersen, who made a big impact around the world with his style of batting, deserved a better farewell, after he was sacked by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) following the English side's 5-0 humiliation in the Ashes series Down Under.

exactly!

Pietersen was the MAN in the mix.ย  all else is bad minded back stabbing, cribbing, snarlish small-minded nastiness by all others climbing over the man to curry favour for personal gain.

piss on the lot of them but long may they reign, keep their jobs forever, running english cricket into the ground

the fact that stood out for me in this english season in Oz was Flower walking with all the tall fast bowlers of his previous success who had no real reason to be on the team for they had not performed in the interim

one like Tremlett had been injured and there was no reason at all on earth as in heaven for him to be on that side ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::

it was as if Flower simply walked back into the past, took a package marked ashes win 2 years ago, and walked out with it to Oz, and opened it there letting all his old faves trot out ready to do battle and win again.

if anyone wanted to judge the competence of Flower at that stage all deh had to do was cite that fact, to realise that england would get swept, that Flower was finally out of his depth, completely embedded in the past, had selected a team that was irrelevant to the task at hand.

the fool in the mix actually was Flower all the way..the goat to be scaped.ย  instead he was successful in putting it all on Kevin Pietersen

I hate head coaches.ย  this is what they do..all of them...low level people in position of authority way above their heads

FLOWER NOT PIETERSEN IS THE SKUNT IN THE MIX..THE FREAKING GOAT TO BE SKEWERED
