25 Killed in Deadly Kiev Battle

Ukraine has witnessed one of its most violent days in recent memory. Since clashes erupted Tuesday between protesters and police, Kiev has devolved into chaos. Ukrainian authorities are reporting that at least 25 people have been killed and 240 have been injured. Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych blamed the protesters' leaders. Threatening a tough response, he said “They crossed the line when they called upon the people to take up arms. This is a flagrant violation of law.”

I have a feeling the west is starting to supply Ukrainians with arms and other supplies. It's on the brink of civil war, yet there is much misinformation and propaganda on all sides. People like to assume Europe is a pretty peaceful place(currently it is, to be honest) - however the Ukraine thing shows the tension between Russia and the EU and/or NATO, which is a serious issue.
